Guidance for Pro Se (Unrepresented Parties) ^

Assistance in completing the Dissolution forms and assembling required personal information is provided for parties seeking to navigate the dissolution process without attorney.  This assistance should not be construed as providing or replacing legal advice or representation.

Often having someone facilitate the currency of communication can provide much needed clarity and effectiveness in the articulation of concerns, positions, negotiations and exchanges.  This is also the case when only one party is represented and the communication is directly with an attorney.

In some instances parties will attempt to reach a resolution without attorneys and then find themselves at impasse.  The transition to an attorney in an organized and well planned manner can significantly reduce the up-front costs, minimize redundancy and is an extremely high value-added service.

Divorce Mentoring ^

Divorce coaching or “mentoring” is a general term not governed by statute and defined individually by practitioners.  As envisioned here, we focus on specific goals and topics as outlined in a client agreement and it is confidential.  This could encompass an overview of the divorce process and available services, general advice and education, outlining possible considerations in reaching a decision of whether or not to pursue the divorce path, connections to mental health, financial and legal professionals best suited in reflection of your unique goals/concerns, financial considerations and methods to minimize the negative impact to your children.  The area of concentration is tailored to fit your individual needs.  We work in collaboration with your legal team.

Communication Facilitation ^

In some instances, having a neutral third party filter and facilitate communication between parties provides space and much needed objectivity to resolve issues and avoid miscommunication that sometimes occurs with the infusion of high emotions.
